Yellow jackets

I have never used the blog about button for a photo set, so I want to try it. There was a yellow jacket nest close to where we walk in the yard, so not wanting to be stung yet again this year, it had to go. Last night was cold, so I used the opportunity to open it up with a cultivator and after it settled down a bit I was able to get this pictures of the remains of the nest.

a lovely sunset while sitting out in a canoe. I had just come off light duty after breaking both of my arms, so I can't remember how I paddled myself around, but I must have.

This is a proud little bird. It followed people around and once its picture was taken, it moved on to the next person with a camera.

We moved from a house that in only a mile away from our new house, but what a difference that mile makes. I saw two amphibians in the entire time we lived there. Now, we literally have to watch were we step to avoid them. I love it, though mowing the grass will be hard.

We are trying to decide whether we will head down to theCaribbean with friends to sail this winter. I think we are leans towards yes.

I need to get back to the some ocean to do some snorkeling. I miss seeing things like this. If you haven't seen a coral reef, do it. They are amazing.
